Item description from seller

Pictorial brown cloth, lettering and image in black. Six pages of ads at the end. SIGNED BY THE ILLUSTRATOR, Harvey Dunn, on the title page. There is also small sketch on the last page of text by Dunn. Additionally there is a larger Dunn drawing laid in loose. Also laid in loose is a note in pen from the famed dealer in Western Americana, Jeff Dykes, concerning this book. It reads, "Signed and small pencil drawing (p. 149) made in my presence by Harvey Dunn on May 10, 1948 at Tenafly, N. J. Jeff Dykes." The words "Plus large pencil drawing" is added after Dykes name and is in a different hand and in pencil. The cover has a couple of light water marks to the front. There is a small water stain to the upper corner and down the fore edge of the first few leaves. Also a light water mark to the upper corner of the last 20 leaves. Erasure to the upper, front free endpaper. The dust jacket has had much restoration along the spine and there are some pieces missing. Other areas of silking to the rear. There are stains along the upper and lower edges and the spine. Original price of $1.00 to the spine and lower, front flap. A rare dust jacket but fair only.
