199pp. First edition. Signed by the author on the FFEP. Very good book in very good dust jacket. Blue paper covered boards with publisher's logo at the lower left corner of front panel; black cloth covered spine with gilt lettering. Outermost board edges are sunned and scuffed. Fore-edge tips are rubbed through. Edges at head and tail of board spine are sunned, a bit crimped, and the back corner at head of spine has small amount of fraying. Small bump on upper edge of back board panel to left of center. Page edges are age-toned. Foxing and shadow transfers on end-papers. Text pages are lightly age-toned, no internal foxing. Text block is sound, Dust jacket is sunned and with shelf-wear scuffs. Loss from chips across width at head of jacket spine and adjacent upper edges of approx. 1 7/8" up to 3/16"; and with two adjacent closed vertical tear of 1/4" each. Lower edge at tail of jacket spine has several chips and adjacent closed tears of 1/8" or less. Front jacket panel has a 1 1/8" slightly diagonal closed tear from the front corner at tail of spine into the front panel. Upper right fore-edge corner of front panel is rubbed with loss of 3/16" and with an adjacent closed vertical tear of 5/8" along the front fore-edge fold. Lower right front fore-edge corner is chipped and with an adjacent 1/2" closed vertical tear along the fold. Upper and lower edges of front and back panels have several horizontal creases with adjacent closed tears. Back fore-edge corner are rubbed, upper corner has loss of less than 1/4".
