Stated First Edition. The book is bound in light tan cloth with title and author in black on the spine corners are sharp Binding is square and tight. Light foxing on the top edges and sprinkling of pink spots on the bottom edged. Signed by Smith on the full title page and inscribed by Smith on the facing page. Otherwise, pages are clean, smooth and unmarked. The dust jacket is near fine condition with slight age-toning on the inside panels. the original price is on the front flap. The author was the first woman to hold sets in both houses of Congress and one of the first people to criticize the tactics of Joseph McCarthy. Please see all images.
