Pierre ROGISSART. David Neuestadt. ÉDITION ORIGINALE, ENVOI AUTOGRAPHE SIGNÉ DE L'AUTEUR À ALAIN DE ROTHSCHILD. 1968, Presses Universelles, Paris. 1 vol. in-12 broché de 209 pages. Bon état, couverture légèrement poussiéreuse, intérieur propre. Dédicace de l'auteur à Alain de Rothschild. Fils du baron Robert de Rothschild (1880-1946) et de son épouse, Gabrielle Nelly Beer (1886-1945), et petit-fils du baron Gustave de Rothschild, il est le frère d'Élie de Rothschild. Marié à Mary Chauvin du Treuil, fille d'Auguste Félix Marie Chauvin du Treuil et de Germaine Françoise Marie Lassalle, il est le père d'Éric de Rothschild, le beau-père de Pierre Rosenberg et le grand-père de Marie Angliviel de la Beaumelle (en). Peu de temps après le début de l'attaque contre la France en mai 1940, il est fait prisonnier par l'Allemagne, où il reste au château de Colditz (Oflag IV-C (en)) jusqu'à la fin de la guerre en 1945. Il devient associé de la banque Rothschild Frères en 1946, dont il détient 25% des parts. Il est notamment président de la Compagnie du Nord. Il est maire de Chamant de 1959 à 1981. Il est propriétaire du Château Lafite Rothschild, qui est géré par son fils Éric. Il est président du Consistoire israélite de Paris de 1954 à 1967, du Consistoire central israélite de France de 1967 à 1982 et du Conseil représentatif des institutions juives de France de 1976 à 1982. Au lendemain de l'attentat de la rue Copernic en 1980, il suggère que les politiques français ne se soucient pas de ce qui s'était passé et remet en question « l'impuissance inexplicable » de la police française. Par le biais du CRIF, il négocie avec le président Valéry Giscard d'Estaing le renforcement des forces de police pour assurer la sécurité des synagogues. En 1972, conjointement avec frère Élie et sa belle-sœur Liliane, il fait don d'une nature morte animalière du peintre Henri Regnault au musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, en vue d'un dépôt au château de Chambord[2]. Avec son frère Élie et sa femme Liliane, Alain offre en 1972 au musée parisien de la Chasse et de la nature, en vue d’un dépôt au château de Chambord, une nature morte animalière d’Henri Regnault (1843-1871), qui ornait précédemment l’hôtel de l'avenue Marigny. Les héritiers de Robert, Diane, Alain, Cécile et Élie, offriront également au musée des Arts décoratifs sept meubles en souvenir de leur père et de leur mère Gabrielle Nelly Beer. En 1975, l’hôtel de l’avenue Marigny sera également cédé à l’État par le baron Alain. Il s'installe à New York après l'arrivée de François Mitterrand et de la gauche au pouvoir en 1981. Un an plus tard, il meurt d'une crise cardiaque le 17 octobre 1982 au Lenox Hill Hospital dans l'Upper East Side. Ses obsèques ont eu lieu à Paris, où il a été enterré. La Fondation Rothschild - Institut Alain de Rothschild, nommée en son honneur, finance le logement des personnes dans le besoin ainsi que des causes juives. …

Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.
Information regarding the right of withdrawal
Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Le Hollandais volant, saint quentin, France, +33 0609745642, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
- The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
