Inscribed by the authors on front free endpaper, $2.00 price intact in front flap of dj, pictorial tan cloth, tall 4to, unnumbered pages, sepia drawings on almost every page, several double-page color illustrations. Bit of edge wear, toned endpapers; toned and edge worn dust jacket with chipping at extremities, two long thin chips out at top rear edge, now in protective mylar cover. Simple rhythmic sentences present the first year in the life of two fawns. Caldecott honor book of 1943.
