First printing inscribed by the illustrator with an original drawing (of a goose) of this charming color-illustrated tale of an errant goose. Kellogg has written and/or illustrated more than one hundred children's books. He is a recipient of the Regina Medal for lifetime contribution to children's literature, and his books have won numerous awards such as the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award, the Irma Simonton Black Award, the IRA-CBC Children's Choice Award, and the Parents' Choice Award. In 2011 he donated his archive to the University of Findlay's Mazza Museum. 10.75'' x 8.25''. Original color pictorial boards. In matching original unclipped ($12.95) jacket. Inscribed by Kellogg to title page: "from [in a heart] / Steven Kellogg." Kellogg has additionally added an small original drawing of a goose. Jacket has two small touches of edgewear. Else bright and sharp overall.
