Very dark blue cloth on boards with gilt lettering to spine. Book is tight, square, particularly sharp-cornered and free of any flaws or markings inside and out, other than warm inscription on flyleaf from author to prior owners: "For Bill and Julie - May you have a fair wind both ways, Roger F. Duncan." Nice map endpapers. Book is Fine. Unclipped pictorial Dust Jacket shows original price of $40.00 and has no scuffing or shelfwear - jsut the faintest fading to the spine, otherwise would be fine. There appendixes on pump-out stations, geology, fog, and regional fauna. Anecdotes- some historical, some recent, some apocryphal- spice up the text; colorful tales of long ago, stories of old wrecks, ect. A must read for any serious boater. 801 pp. …
