Item description from seller

8vo. Pp. [8], 9 - 224. Foreword by Peter Uberroth. Illustratrated throughout with black-and-white photography. Bound in red cloth lettered in gilt on front board and spine. Signed by Rose and dated by him in year of publication. With the publisher's ephemera relating to the book laid in. Contains a day-by-day diary followed by a 20pp. biography. For a player who dismissed Jim Bouton, author of the eye-opening Ball Four, as "a f----ing Shakespeare," here's Rose's own diary, some-15 years later. A handsome copy.
