Per copy right page, only date is 1924 - no other details. Author, Harold Gage, signed and gave year of '1927' written on first title page. Profusely illustrated in b&W drawings & approximately 15 full page glossy color illustrations. These colored drawings are in the style of the 1920's Arthur Rackham, delicate, whimsy and muted colors. Dark tan cloth covered boards are soiled, rubbed and has edge wear. Corners are bumped and lightly fraying. Embossed illustration on front cover very readable and defined. Lettering on spine is readable but spine is faded darker. No folds on pages; one page has closed tear and pages are starting to brown. Front & back boards are cracked but binding is holding firm- no loose pages or signatures. Foxing on end papers. No DJ This is NOT an Ex-lib nor a remainder. This book is 100 years old and is very good condition given that it is 338 pages thick and has no DJ to protect it.
