Foxing. Some rusting to staples.; This copy signed by the author in pencil on the first blank leaf "Frank Sargeson". [viii (first leaf blank)], 29, [3 (blank)] pages. Printed wrappers. The author's first publication. Page dimensions: 185 x 124mm. Most of the stories appeared earlier in the periodical "Tomorrow". The book was published by Bob Lowry. "Lowry was one of the first New Zealanders to be influenced by the revival in typography [. . .] 'Conversations with my Uncle', though not too well machined on poor paper, has a touch of the Lowry style, especially about the title page." - McEldowney, pp. 28-29.
