Near Fine with faint wear to spine ends and tips, light toning to contents. In a Very Good+ unclipped dust jacket with fading to spine, modest toning and rubbing to panels and light edge wear. A surprise hit book from Arizona senator Barry Goldwater that became his manifesto in the 1964 US Presidential race against Lyndon Baines Johnson. Goldwater lost, but his Southern-oriented election strategy and his brand of populist conservatism would greatly influence the Republican Party for decades, rare in its first printing and signed.
