Internal binding weakened, loosening. Many of the front wraps bound in, with a Library of the Mus. Comp. Zoology, Cambridge Mass, blind stamp. Clean, unmarked pages. Numerous plates, maps. Harvard University Library Museum of Comparative Zoology bookplate, Gift of Author, January 24, 1922. Signed by "the author" on the front end page. Most of the articles deal with the glacial geology of the Great Lakes, Taylor's specialty. Taylor was a Harvard educated geologist who established continental drift theory in 1908. Includes his important article, "Bearing of the Tertiary Mountain Belt on the origin of the Earth's plan," Bulletin of the Geological Society of America, Vol. 21, pp. 179-226, pl.4. 1910. This article detailed his theory.
