Accompanied by his loyal servant, Morano, Rodriguez encounters mythical beings and faces extraordinary challenges in this imaginative and humorous coming-of-age tale. This is copy #199 of 500 in the edition. Signed by Dunsany beneath the Preface. Frontispiece photogravure illustration of Don Rodriguez by Sidney H. Sime, which is signed by Sime in lower margin. Bound in quarter vellum and tan cloth over boards, with gilt-stamped title block on spine, gilt rules to spine and both boards, top edge gilt, marbled endpapers. Vellum a bit bowed but not significantly worn. Jacket has a few wrinkles to spine and minor extremity wear. Near fine in a near fine dust jacket. A very nice copy. Cloth and vellum over boards. Quarto. [viii], 322 pages.
