A Rare Signed Chronicle of the Oklahoma Frontier
Own a foundational piece of Western Americana. This 1933 first edition by George Rainey is an essential, highly detailed history of the Cherokee Strip in Northwestern Oklahoma. Covering the era from 1541 through the dawn of the 20th century, this volume documents the transformation of land once designated for Cherokee resettlement into a landscape defined by the rugged realities of the Old West.

Historical Significance: Highly cited in essential Western bibliographies, including Adams? Six-Guns (1790) and Adams? Herd (1854).
Fascinating Content: Contains detailed accounts of the "Strip" outlaws, featuring in-depth narratives on the Dalton Gang, Dick Yeager, Ben Cravens, and the historic killing of Ed Short and Charlie Bryant.
