Very good condition, slight wear to cloth, several upper right corners of text block gently bumped; no dj. With 17 charts, 74 plates. Signed & inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, dated "Nov - 22 - '20". Tipped-in to the following blank page are two albumen photographs, each approx. 3-inches square, of the author and of his wife, both inscribed with brief sentiment and initials. Leander Hamilton McCormick (1859-1934) was the son of Leander J. McCormick who partnered with his brothers Cyrus and William to form the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company. While at Columbia Law School Leander also studied Characterology and during his life time made over a hundred inventions. ; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 646 pages; Signed by Author.
