Item description from seller

An early thriller from the master of the genre, warmly inscribed to the title page: "To G.W. Boyle, with the best of wishes and thanks, from Eric Ambler". Rubbed, faded good cloth but internally, very good as the pages are all very bright and clean throughout. Bright blue endpapers. Inscribed copies of this title are rather rare.
