First Edition (Number Line to 1). I think this is a very special offering. Once listed, it will be the Only Signed copy of this book for sale anywhere on the Internet. And it also includes a separate very sweet thank-you for your encouragement letter to the author's 5th grade teacher. A teacher it wasn't very hard for the author to remember! Jonathan V. Cann was 14 years old when this book was published. So it's a pretty good guess it didn't take him years to get it published. And young Mr. Cann was no slouch at 13. The book won the Raintree Publish A Book Contest in 1996. The signed inscription to Mrs. Burns is on the front free end paper, is dated 3/97, and runs three paragraphs. It is very warm and appreciative and is signed 'Love, Jonathan V. Cann'. As for condition, the book was very well taken care of. It is square, tight, and very solidly bound. The covers are very clean and have almost no wear (there's a little scuff on the gold Award sticker and a surface scratch next to the 'L' in Candles, both on the front). The interior of the book is pristine. No one (beside the author) has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. There aren't any markings or attachments (in other words NOT an ex-library book). There aren't any creases or dog-eared corners. And the pages are bright and white. No soiling or staining anywhere.
