Item description from seller

230 pp. 8.25" x 5.5" THE BIRTH OF GNOME PRESS Before there was Gnome Press, there was The Carnelian Cube. L. Sprague de Camp and Fletcher Pratt completed their wacky trip through parallel worlds as the United States entered WWII, but when paper rations stopped its serial release in Unknown magazine, the project languished. This first edition, first printing is signed and dated by de Camp on full title. [Currey, 132]. Light shelf wear, several small stains and toning text block edge, owner name ffep, else near fine in very good or better dust jacket with touches of wear extremities, in mylar cover. Full grey cloth, in David Kyle dust jacket ($3.00).…
