Carl Mydans and Alfred Eisenstaedt were colleagues together at Life Magazine. In fact, like the magazine, they both worked for, they were pioneers in the field of photojournalism which just started getting the recognition it deserved when it emerged in the late 1930 s. I am very pleased to be able to offer this album of photographs by Carl Mydans many of which record the armed conflicts of our times; the book is titled: Carl Mydans Photojournalist . This large hard cover book (9 ½ x 12 inches, 207 pages) was published by Harry N. Abrams of New York dated 1985 and the First Edition. This book is warmly inscribed by Mydans to Alfred Eisenstaedt (please see the photo). I am also including a photo of the Table of Contents for your further information. The book includes 198 black-and-white photographs by Mydans. The book is bound in fine gray cloth boards with white titles on the spine and protected by a high gloss pictorial dust jacket. Condition: This book is in near fine condition. The dust jacket is glossy and bright with no real edge wear probably because it has double-folded edges. Inside the only mark I found is the inscription by Mydans to Eisenstaedt on the front endpaper. The interior pages are clean and bright and without toning or foxing of any kind. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. Seller Inventory # 38
