First UK Edition. SIGNED COPY inscription reads "Janet Stones, With best wishes from the author, David I. Masson. September 1977". Text block edges foxed and a hint of bowing to the boards else VG indeed. The dustwrapper is price-clipped to the front flap but otherwise is a fine example. NB: recently republished by Gollancz as part of their ongoing SF Masterworks series. Collects seven sf stories. One of the cornerstone collections of 1960s sf stories, and the author's only book. Signed and inscribed first editions appear to be especially uncommon. Photographs/scans available upon request.
