I am very pleased to be able to offer a very scarce nine volume set, in near fine condition, of: "The Caerleon Edition of the Works of Arthur Machen". The nine-volumes are identically bound, in very light green cloth with gilt titles on cover and spine. They are protected by clear plastic dust wrappers. The top edge of the pages is gilt. They were published by Marti Secker Ltd. of London, dated 1923 and are a number set (No. 111) out of one thousand copies printed. Please see the photos for a better sense of what is on offer here and their condition. According to Wikipedia (with my thanks and occasional contribution), Arthur Machen was the pen name of Arthur Llewelly Jones who was a Welsh author and mystic of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He is best known for his influential supernatural, fantasy and horror fiction. Condition: This set of nine volumes is in near fine condition. I am unable to find any real signs of wear or blemish to this set. A former owner has left his neat bookplate on the front endpaper of each volume. These books are not ex-library or remainders. If you can find a better copy.well, I will be surprised.…
