SIGNED - About Good 1st Edition hardcover, with no dustjacket as issued. Quarter bound with green cloth. Rubbed gilt titles. Well bumped to extremities, some small losses to spine ends. Spine and edges rubbed. Front hinge split but binding secure. Top edge gilt. Internally, some foxing to prelims. Signed by author to front pastedown, dated 11th October 1881, dedicatee John Oswald Mitchell, for his 'valuable assistance in the production of this volume'. Mitchell's bookplate to front pastedown. Clean pages, with occasional, what appear to be, contemporary annotations. Deckle edges. Protected in mylar cover. Carefully packaged and despatched within 48 hours from our wee bookshop in Scotland.; B&W Illustrations; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 268 pages; Signed by Author.
