Scarce first edition of this early history of Crown Green Bowling in the UK. Original green boards, pp. 191, illustrated. A nice square copy, corners bumped and spine tips pushed a little. The block is moderately toned. The dustjacket is price-clipped, soiled at the rear panel with numerous tape repairs internally at the corners etc which are split. Inscribed at the front endpaper by the author, "Best Wishes, John D. Vose, 21/10/82".
