4to. Quarter vellum with tawny cloth-covered boards with vertical gilt rule. Gilt title on brown panel to spine. Gilt top-edge. Untrimmed fore- and bottom-edges. Marbled endpapers. 322 pages. With A frontispiece in Photogravure by S.H. Sime. First edition limited to 500 numbered copies signed by the author and illustrator. Some orange spotting near the bottom of the vellum spine / boards. Minor rubbing to vellum and edges of the cloth boards. The interior is in fine condition. A well-preserved copy. Black & white illustrations throughout. Edward John Moreton Drax Plunkett, Lord Dunsany (1878-57), the Irish writer and nobleman, worked with Lady Gregory and W B Yeats in supporting Dublin's Abbey Theatre.
