Add to basketInscribed by Mary Austin to Alice Henderson Evans, the daughter of artist William Penhallow Henderson and poet Alice Corbin Henderson, on the half-title. Composed over a period of forty years, Austin's only collection of poetry includes poems she wrote in her younger years as a school teacher and verse she wrote for American Indian readers. Illustrated with drawings by Gerald Cassidy. Octavo. Original red cloth binding, with black stamping. Internally crisp and clean. The boards are fresh and bright, with a tiny bit of edgewear. Better than very good.
