Hinges sound; except as noted, pages are clean and bright. No dust jacket. Presumed First Edition. Inscribed by author on title page: "Best of Everything for Sam & Malinda Hurst. A. Quincy Jones." On the first free page is the address label of "Sam T. Hurst, FAIA". Samuel Thomas Hurst (1920-2015) was Dean of Architecture and Fine Arts at the University of Southern California (1961-1973). He designed the new School of Architecture Building on campus; and he saved the Gamble House, now an historic Pasadena landmark, from demolition. He later moved to Montecito, where his address label places him, and where he ended his days.
