471p octavo, a fine copy bound in 3/4 brown morocco, top edge gilt. Tipped a leaf preceding the half-title is a a letter from a fan of George Moore writing as if the words were from Moore in relation to a statement by George Bernard Shaw in his book "Mrs Warren's Profession" & Brieux's " Damaged Goods" also tipped in is the envelope . Apparently Miss Mc Auley mailed the statement to Moore who clearly agreed, signed it, made a correction and wrote his address.
