The Break by Marian Keyes. Signed first edition, first impression. Octavo. 570pp. Signed by the author on the title page. This book is in very good condition. The red cloth boards are very good, with minor bumping to the top and bottom edges of the spine, and a small bump to the front board top right corner. There is also a small mark (possibly pen or pencil) to the rear board close to the bottom left corner. This mark is approximately 4mm x 1mm in length. The pages are clean and the binding is tight. The dust jacket is in very good condition, with bumping along the edges, particularly the top edge. The dust jacket shows some signs of shelfwear, and some light discolouration/yellowing to the top edge. The front and back flaps, bottom corners have both been folded at some time and show small creases as a result. There is a 'Signed by the author' sticker to the fornt of the dust jacket. The dust jacket is unclipped. Please see images. If you have any questions, please do ask.

THE SUNDAY TIMES NUMBER ONE BESTSELLER FROM THE BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF GROWN UPS, MARIAN KEYES
'JUST BRILLIANT' SUNDAY TIMES
___________
'Myself and Hugh . . . We're taking a break.'
'A city-with-fancy-food sort of break?'
If only.
Amy's husband Hugh says he isn't leaving her.
He still loves her, he's just taking a break - from their marriage, their children and, most of all, from their life together.
Six months in South-East Asia. And nothing she says can stop him.
But when does a break become a break-up?
A lot can happen in six months. And it's enough to send Amy and her family of gossips, misfits and troublemakers teetering over the edge.
When Hugh returns, if he returns, will he be the same man she married?
Will Amy be the same woman?
Because if Hugh is on a break from their marriage, then . . . isn't she on one too?

Store description
Wordhoard. One of the oldest written words in the English language (actually Wordhord in Old English). Storytellers would ‘open their wordhord’ whilst sitting amongst friends and family and tell stories of great deeds such as the story of Beowulf. It’s a word that speaks of the importance of storytelling throughout our history. So perhaps a fitting name for a bookshop? Based in Bristol, UK, Wordhoard Books specialise in selling collectible signed and unsigned first edition books for both adults and children. Collections include signed books, novels, natural history, military history, general history, art, graphic art, film, biography, poetry, and many more, so please do come and browse. If you have any questions regarding any of my books, feel free to get in touch.…
