Philadelphia essayist and feminist Agnes Repplier's (1855-1950) first book and first collection of essays; she later earned the nickname "our dean of essayists" from Edward Wagenknecht. Very Good, likely no jacket issued. Prior owner name dated 1889 front end page, light wear to cloth at spine ends. Top edge gilt. A SCARCE signature. Size: 12mo - over 6�" - 7�" tall.
