About the Author

Jimmy Edwards was born on the Island of Dominica, in the West Indies. He moved to Boston and lived there for five years in the late eighties. During his stay in Boston, he became interested in writing. While there, he wrote a few short stories and began this novel about his summer experience that he entitled Summer on Montebello. In 1994, he relocated to Houston, Texas and began writing extensively. In 2000, he enrolled at the Institute of Children Literature, from which he received a diploma in January 2001. In 2002, he finished Summer on Montebello. He is married and has one daughter. He loves writing and hoped someday to become an established author.
