An inscribed, limited edition of this tribute to lavish architecture and lifestyles by author and painter James Reynolds. The author visits and reports on various elegant structures in far-flung world-wide locations. Includes eighteen full-page red-toned "sanguine" paintings by Mr. Reynolds, and with his "The Young Margravine Drives to the Hunt" to endpapers, also in sanguine tones. One of an unspecified number in this limited edition. Inscribed by the author on half title: "To / Horace Hammond. / Who has added many / fine touches to Baroque & / Rococo homes. / All best wishes / James Reynolds." --- In pale grey cloth-covered boards with gilt-stamped cover & spine titling; red topstain. Jacket with Reynolds artwork to front and back panels. --- With a little chafing, light soiling and sunning to edges of cloth; else a sound, tightly-bound copy.
