Full black cloth; spine lettered in white; top edge stained red. Near fine in a near-fine jacket. The book has a slight spine slant and light soiling to the lower page edge. Illustrated with two sections of black-and-white photographs on coated stock. Comes with archival-quality mylar dust jacket protector. A substantially revised and expanded successor to Terry’s "1959 Ballet: A New Guide to the Liveliest Art," providing background, synopses, production credits, and premiere information for more than five hundred ballets, together with a brief history of ballet, a guide to viewing ballet, and a glossary of terms.…
