Synopsis:
EIGHT BIZARRE TALES FROM THE EDGE – WITH ADDED COLOURING!
New York Times bestselling novelist Chuck Palahniuk presents BAIT: OFF-COLOR STORIES FOR YOU TO COLOR, his first ever colouring book for adults.
Bait is both the colouring book debut and the second short story collection for Palahniuk, author of Lullaby (Vintage, 2003) and Fight Club (Vintage, 1997). This hardcover album contains eight bizarre tales, illustrated in detailed black and white by Joëlle Jones (Lady Killer), Lee Bermejo (The Suiciders), Duncan Fegredo (Hellboy) and more. Each story is paired with pieces of colourable original art, nearly 50 in all!
Palahniuk invites readers to collaborate on this unprecedented hardcover edition: ‘Maybe between your colours, the artists’ designs, and my stories we can create something that endures. Something worth keeping. Let’s create a well-bound book that can sit on any shelf and be available for a new generation to discover and enjoy.’
About the Author:
Chuck Palahniuk is the author of numerous critically-acclaimed works of fiction including Fight Club (Vintage, 1997), Invisible Monsters (Vintage, 1999) and Choke (Vintage, 2001). His latest collection of short fiction, Make Something Up was released in May 2015 by Jonathan Cape. Duncan Fegredo made his debut in US comics with Kid Eternity, a book he decided to paint in full colour for no better reason than 'everybody else was doing it'. Fegredo has latterly collaborated with writer/artist Mike Mignola on his signature creation, Hellboy, drawing Darkness Calls, The Wild Hunt and The Storm & The Fury. Their latest work together is The Midnight Circus, also published by Dark Horse Comics. Lee Bermejo has worked on many DC series including Batman and Superman. He has also worked on Daredevil for Marvel and Resident Evil for Image Comics.
