All elements pristine, this is a one-of-a-kind copy, attractively complete with the following: both states of the promotional pre-release samplers, each of which is SIGNED. The first sampler contains the extract that begins "As darkness was falling" and is signed vertically to the margin of the first page of text; the second sampler bears the "exclusive new extract" roundel to its front and contains the "Moonlight and Bloodshed" extract. This is signed to foot of last page. To the best of our knowledge, only a tiny few of the samplers were ever signed by Philip Pullman - and we had them all. The promotional notebook - SIGNED to inner front-cover, and, again, the only one to have been signed we are aware of. Finally, the red cloth promotional tote bag and glossy bookmark (because of their materials, these are not signed). A fabulous Pullman package and an extremely rare one.
