Humorous pictorial cover design of a bottle of Cognac being used as a cannon with a doughboy reading a rule book standing next to it. Top cover printed in black and red on a tan background. Foxing (light brown spotting) on many pages in the book. An irreverent unit memoir from a serviceman of the the 17th Engineers from the Mehun General Ordnance shops, in France during World War I.
