For sheer gentle English loony eccentricity this ranks high." Bindings show some wear to extremities. Hinges just starting. Age-toned throughout and with some dust-soiling. Ffep to volume two with chip to fore-edge. Vol II with po signature (Rev. Henry Norris). Withal, a VG set. Original publisher's blue cloth binding with gilt stamping. Vol I with [presumed] Deering arms to front board. Red patterned paper eps 1st Edition (Wolff 1786). INSCRIBED PRESENTATION copy, in the year of publication, from R. D.
