First edition. Signed by George Rodrigue without inscription on front flyleaf. Minor wear and two 1/2 inch closed tears to jacket corners, top jacket edge a bit toned. Binding tight and square, pages clean, bright, and unmarked. 2003 Large Hardcover. 256 pp. Born and raised in the heart of French Louisiana, artist George Rodrigue is best known for his Blue Dog paintings, which catapulted him to worldwide fame in the early 1990s. Rodrigue's body of work, however, encompasses far more than Blue Dog. Sure to delight Blue Dog fans and art aficionados alike, this volume, the first retrospective of the artist's forty-year-career, provides a comprehensive view of the Rodrigue oeuvre, including many unpublished and never-before-seen works.
