Add to basketSigned and inscribed by the author on the blank sheet preceding the half-title page, dated 1926. Light brown cloth boards with gilt lettering on cover and spine. Moderate rubbing to edges and joints, leaving boards exposed at corners; light dampstaining to edges of boards; mild soiling. No dust jacket. Binding is tight. Interior is clean except for a dampstain to the fore-edge of the last 30 plates. Includes 110 black-and-white plates. Alfred C. Bossom (1881-1965) was a British architect and politician. Following the trip to Mexico that is recorded in this book, Bossom became a proponent of Mayan Revival architecture.
