A rare and charmingly written illustrated children's book about the adventures of a pig called Anthony Henrypottery Luxulyan Prettypig aka Harpsichord. Oblong hardback with pictorial boards, no dust wrapper. Size: 25cm x 19cm (ca 10" x 7.5"), 32pp unpaginated. Plain white spine. Contains numerous black and white illustrations plus sixteen delightful colour lithographs, six of which are full-page. A presentation copy inscribed, signed and and dated by the British authors/illustrators Rowland Emett and Mary Emett on the front free endpaper 15.10.54. Printed at the Baynard Press, London. Condition is very good throughout with negligible marks and just a couple of minuscule nicks. A rare item indeed. Price is GBP 400.
