Gray paper-covered-boards with cover title, double rules and publisher's device in blue; 12mo; 25pp; illustrated with b/w photographic frontispiece plus one other photo plate and a title-page vignette; errata slip tipped-in; printed in an edition of 500 unnumbered copies by The Derrydale Press. From the introduction, "It is intended to serve as a guide to those amateur tyers who fish in Eastern waters for Brown Trout. Every man has his own list of 'favorite flies' but it is believed that those here listed may fairly be called the 'indispensables'." This copy in good condition with spine reinforced with blue binder's cloth cloth; some internal page soiling; former owner's pencil notes (regarding flies) to blank pages at rear.
