First Edition, First Printing INSCRIBED and SIGNED by Booth Tarkington on the front endpaper. A spectacular copy. This ORIGINAL sophisticated dustjacket has the First Issue points on the dustjacket with the Red Line printed on back panel of the dustjacket without the numbers or word Unanimous. Later editions added the word Unanimous and numbers 1 through 5. The book is in fantastic shape and is bound in the publisher's cloth. The book has the First Issue point with the misprint of transposed words "I can't see you why don't" on page 419 line 14. Later editions correct this line to "I can't see why you don't" A wonderful copy seldom seen with such a beautiful dustjacket and SIGNED by the author. We buy SIGNED Booth Tarkington First Editions.
