Publisher's cloth, very good, shelf-worn, light marginal toning throughout, second half of the fore-edge more toned than the first half for some reason, otherwise a pleasing enough copy, inscribed by the author upon the title page: "To Keith Kyle, with every good wish, Richard Thorpe, 9.x.96". The recipient was a prominent journalist, especially remembered for his book on the Suez Crisis. xxviii, 562pp.
