Clean stated First Edition, inscribed and SIGNED by the author, in unclipped original dust jacket. Very clean beige cloth boards with wrap-around illustration (a parade of animals running). No bumping or wear. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Inscribed and signed on front free endpaper by the author: "With love to the tribe. Isabella. Christmas, 1958. This is an Advance Copy. The book will be published Feb. 24." There is a neatly penned previous owner name below the inscription. All pages and edges clean and bright with wonderful illustrations by Erik Blegvad. 142 pages. Clean dust jacket is not price clipped, has a few edge nicks, shallow chipping at spine ends; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover.
