Quarto, gray cloth in dust jacket; 120 pages First Edition. Signed by Richardson on the front endpaper & dated "April 11, 1952." A collection of 61 folk-music songs collected in the highlands of Tennessee, North Georgia, the Carolinas, Kentucky, Arkansas & Missouri. They are arranged in four groups: ballads, lonesome & love tunes, spirituals, and nonsense songs.
