Stated First Edition (along with Number Line to 1). Once listed, this will be the Only signed copy of the book for sale anywhere on the Internet. The inscription is on the front end paper. It reads 'To Kevin-- William Cat hopes you enjoy this book. With best wishes, Rosamond Dauer, April 1, 1982.' You can see the covers of the book in the photos. They are exceptionally clean. I don't see any soiling. I don't see any conspicuous wear. The cover edges and corners are in excellent shape, no rubbing. The book is very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages and nicely tight covers as well. The pages are exceptionally clean. I'm not seeing any soiling. They are also in excellent shape. I'm not seeing any conspicuous creasing, no placeholder or corner creases. There is one little crinkle on one page, not much of anything. There are no markings in the book. No attachments of any kind. And the author's signed inscription is the only writing be found anywhere. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photos. The front cover (just adjacent to the spine) and the spine do have several spots of soiling. The rear cover looks very good. There's a teeny tiny loss off the bottom edge of the edge between the rear cover and rear flap, hardly noticeable. There is one thin 7/8th inch tear off the top edge of the front (the protective cover makes this fairly inconspicuous). The white flaps are very clean. They are in very nice shape, just a tiny crease at the front top corner. The jacket is NOT price-clipped, not clipped at all. I fitted the jacket with a protective cover after the photos were scanned. Wonderful illustrations by Skip Morrow. On the rear flap of the jacket we are told that 'Best-selling illustrator Skip Morrow has added superb two-color drawings that may not win him back all the cat lovers offended by his The Official I Hate Cats Book, but certainly a fair number.' Mrs. Dauer's children's books have been translated into four languages.

Many of the books I will be selling can accurately be described as ranging from somewhat rare to very rare. In some cases there won't be another copy for sale anywhere on the Internet. There doesn't seem much point, for you or me, in offering something that so many others are already offering. Most often I would expect my book to be the least expensive option on the Internet taking into account an appropriate comparison(what is the condition, is the dust jacket present, is the book signed, is it a first printing, etc.). More important than selling the book I want to make sure that you know, as much as is possible, exactly what you are getting. To that end, you'll notice that my descriptions of condition tend to be lengthy, and that there will always be photographs to help you draw your own conclusions. As regards international shipping, the first class or standard rates I charge are based on a package weight between 2 and 3 pounds. If the book is on the thin side there is a possibility that I can securely pack it up under 2 pounds in weight. If so, the shipping price will drop by around $11.00 or $12.00 to $26.00-27.00. Canada, which is less expensive drops to $18.00. You can contact me before purchasing a book for an estimate on the shipping cost.
