nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - A city shrouded in fog, the sharp crackle of a radio dispatch slicing through the night-here, danger is never far from the shadows. The tension of the radio era pulses through every page, as the relentless pursuit of truth collides with the undercurrents of a world where justice is as elusive as the criminals who haunt its streets. This is crime fiction at its most atmospheric, set against the backdrop of the 1930s, where each clue and coded message carries the weight of life and death.Within the labyrinth of police detective work, the story unfolds with a hardboiled edge, capturing the gritty realism and moral complexity that define the best of American detective fiction. The narrative draws readers into the intricate machinery of a classic police procedural, where the ticking clock of an unsolved case is matched only by the urgency of human frailty and ambition. The era's fascination with technology is palpable, as radio signals become lifelines and traps, amplifying both hope and peril in equal measure.Fans of vintage crime stories and pulp detective novels will find themselves immersed in a world where every suspect has a secret, and every alleyway could conceal a new threat. The suspense is heightened by the authenticity of the setting, evoking the unique flavour of old time radio mysteries that once captivated a generation. Each twist and revelation is steeped in the atmosphere of a 20th century mystery, offering a reading experience that is both gripping and evocative. This book was out of print for decades and is now republished by Alpha Editions. It has been restored for today's and future generations. This edition is not just a reprint - it's a collector's item and a cultural treasure. For collectors, enthusiasts of crime thriller fiction, and anyone drawn to the enduring appeal of the radio era, this is a rare opportunity to own a piece of literary history, meticulously brought back to life.…
