This is a lot of 16 photographs depicting the fighting of a large fire in Wisconsin in 1946. They are likely Press Photos, and are ~8" x 10". A note on the envelope they are enclosed in states: "Pictures of Grauer Fire, 2-28-46". We believe these were taken in Port Washington, Wisconsin. There is a business sign in one of the photos that appears to be for an auto dealer that was in Port Washington at that time. The lettering on the rear of the coats of some of the firemen indicate they are from the Cedarburg, Wisconsin Fire Department. And in the envelope, there was an unrelated newspaper clipping relating to Port Washington. There is some waviness to the photos as if they have been damp at one time, but there is no staining. The photos are clean. There are small pencilled numbers on the rear on many of the photos. ; 28A. Seller Inventory # 63071
