ALS, handwritten signed letter dated Thursday 4 May, from 8 Percy Street, Bedford Square, addressed to Mr Hone, Ludgate Hill. Single page 22.5 x 19 cm folding to 11 x 19 cm, written on 4 sides. Has postmark and minor tear and remnant of the seal. The letter concerns some business arrangements between the two men. Novello was an organist, chorister and music publisher who founded the prominent publishing house of Novello. He was responsible for bringing much music to the British public, such as relatively unknown works of Hayden, Mozart and Palestrina. An interesting letter about the business of music. Rare.
