An Original Handwritten and Signed Letter by Prince Francis of Teck to Sir William Carington. Undated. A letter discussing the Kings matters, his financial situation with regards to a tournament and about a committee meeting. Prince Francis of Teck, 1870-1910 was the younger brother of the British queen Mary of Teck, wife of King George V. Sir William Henry Peregrine Carington 1845-1914 was a British soldier, courtier and Liberal politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1868 to 1883. Carington was a Groom in Waiting to Queen Victoria from 1880 to 1882. He was acting Master of the Buckhounds from 1883 to 1884, Equerry to Queen Victoria from 1881 to 1901 and an Extra Equerry to King Edward VII from 1901 to 1910. He also served as Comptroller and Treasurer to the Prince of Wales (later King George V) from 1901. Size is 178mm x 114mm. Condition is good. Light folding crease. Light age toning.
