This photo is signed and inscribed by the young dancer in the picture, Florence Rudolph. The inscription reads: "To Ethel, A most gifted dancer Sincerely, Florence Rudolph 3-4-27". In the photo, Rudolph is dressed in a ballet tutu embellished with sequins and is wearing a twisted, sparkling headband atop her shortly-coiffed hair. Rudolph performed with the Metropolitan Opera Co. from 1919 to 1926 dancing in 266 performances. She was part of the Opera's productions of La Traviata, Aida, and Carmen, among others. 10" x 8". Blindstamped at the bottom left corner: "Arthur Murray New York". Verso is stamped with the address of Arthur Murray's New York City studio address. Condition: Light soil along blank margins, crease at bottom left corner, pinholes at all four corners of blank margins, overall good condition with a neat, bold signature. Seller Inventory # A01230
